FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • You may reschedule or cancel a session at no charge if done more than 24 hours in advance. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for the full session fee. A 10-minute grace period is provided for all appointments. If you fail to attend within 10 minutes of the session start time, the session will be automatically rescheduled, and you will be charged the full fee. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, so the first three reschedules or cancellations each year are free of charge.

    • Individual sessions: $180 per 50-minute session

    • Couples/Relationship sessions: $200 per 60-minute session

    • EMDR therapy sessions: $220 per 60-minute session

Sliding scale options are available on a limited basis; please inquire for more information. If I am unable to accommodate you, I’m happy to provide a referral or recommend an alternate provider. Currently, all sessions are conducted via telehealth, and payment is accepted exclusively through Ivy Pay.

  • You have the right to receive a 'Good Faith Estimate' that outlines the expected costs of your medical and mental health care. Under the law, healthcare providers must provide an estimate of charges for patients without insurance or those not using insurance, including psychotherapy services. You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate from your healthcare provider, or any provider you choose, before scheduling a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Be sure to keep a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For more information about your rights or questions about the Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • I am currently not in-network with any insurance providers or panels. However, many insurance carriers and PPO plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network therapy costs. If your policy includes such benefits, I can provide you with a monthly superbill or summary of services to submit for reimbursement.

To verify if you qualify for reimbursement for out-of-network services, please contact your insurance provider.

  • My office hours are Wednesday through Saturday, afternoons and evenings:

    • Wednesday to Friday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

    • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Appointments are typically scheduled on a week-by-week basis. If you are interested in reserving a recurring weekly appointment at the same time, we can discuss this further during our initial phone consultation.

I am available via email 24 hours a day; however, I respond to emails and inquiries only during business hours. If you contact me after 8 p.m., your message will be addressed the following business day. Messages received from Sunday to Tuesday will be responded to on the next office day.

    • Individuals: 50 min

    • Couples | Partners: 60 min

    • EMDR: 60 min

Frequency of therapy sessions depends on the client’s needs and current life stressors. However, I do feel that attending therapy on a weekly basis to start ensures the proper development of therapeutic rapport, alliance and trust.
